ROVER TRIP REPORT 
Big thanks to Anne-Marie Scriven for the awesome trip report of their 24,000km outback adventure last year with their FJ Cruiser & Stockman Rover.
Set off 4/6/23 from Buderim Sunshine Coast via Caboolture, Dalby & Moonie Hwy to St George,Bollon, Cunnamulla, Currawinya NP, Bulloo Dev Rd to Noccundra & Tibooburra (at Warri Gate) SturtNP to Cameron Corner.
Back to Tiboorburra & onto Silver City Hwy to Broken Hill, Menindee Lakes & onto Cockburn SA border. From Yunta headed north to Ikara, Flinders Ranges via Martins Well, Branchina Gorge, to Arkaroola, Blinman & onto Strzlecki Desert Track to Moomba & Innamincka. Burke & Wills Dig Tree, Arrabury Rd & Cordillo Downs Rd to Birdsville. From Birdsville via Eyre Dev Rd to Bedourie & Boulia to Donohue Hwy & Plenty Hwy to Alice Springs.
From Alice to Maryvale via Maryvale Rd; Finke Track (not Finke Rd) to Finke, New Crown, Old Andado Homestead & south on Binns Track to MT Dare. Mt Dare to Charlotte Waters & Kulgera Roadhouse via Finke Rd. South from there to Mulga Park Rd via Victory Downs (start of the Gunbarrel Hwy) & Mt Connor to Curtain Springs & Uluru/ Olgas. Return to Lassiter Hwy & head north on Luritja Rd to Kings Canyon/Wartarrka NP, across Morris Pass, Dare Plain & Gardner Range – known as Mereenie Loop to Gosse Bluff. Onto Mt Sonder in Redbank Gorge, Ormiston Gorge, Glen Helen, Standley Chasm, Hermansburg & Finke Gorge NP. From Finke Gorge headed north to Haasts Bluff, Papunya Communities west of MacDonnell Ranges & north again to Tidmouth Roadhouse via Tanami Rd onto Yuendumu
community & took north-east track to Mt Denison & Mt Barkly to Willowra Community in Tanami Desert. Headed south-east to Stuart Hwy & once at the Hwy travelled north to Barrow Creek, Tennant Creek etc to Katherine & north to Litchfield NP & back
road to Dundee Beach & Red Cliffs. Back to Humpty Doo & north to Darwin. From Darwin headed east on Arnhem Hwy to Mary River NP, Jabiru up to Oenpelli. Spent time in Kakadu NP at Jim Jim Falls, Cooinda, Yurmikmik. Headed back to Katherine & took Central Arnhem Hwy to Yirrkala & Nhulunbuy & return.
From Sturt Hwy & Mataranka took Roper Hwy to Roper River & return. Onto Carpentaria Hwy via Stuart Hwy to Cape Crawford, Borrolooola, to Hell’s Gate Roadhouse & Doomadgee in Qld. To Burketown & south to Leichhardt Falls, Augustus Downs, Wills Dev Rd to Gregory Downs. Southern track to Barkly Hwy & east to Mt Isa. From Mt Isa did a loop on Richmond Hwy to Cloncurry, south on Landsborough Hwy to McKinley & Kynuna & north to Julia Creek & return to Mt Isa. From Mt Isa took Diamontina Hwy south but turned west toward Urandangi & along Qld/NT border to Tobermorey Roadhouse & Plenty Hwy. From Plenty Hwy headed west to Jervois Station & turned onto Hay River Track via Batton Hill Rd. Travelled Hay River Track south across Madigan Line & QAA line heading east to Birdsville. Returned from Birdsville via QAA & Hay River Track, Batton Hill Rd to Plenty Hwy & back to Alice Springs.
From Alice Springs headed south to SA border & stopped at Marla Roadhouse then on Stuart Hwy to Cooper Pedy, Wimmera, Port Augusta & east to Cockburn on SA/NSW border to Broken Hill & onto Newell Hwy north to Goondiwindi & east to Sunshine Coast
